Abstract

Decision Support System for Employee Evaluation Using the Technique for Others Reference by
Similarity to Ideal Solution method is a process to evaluate, select, assess and determine the best
employees every year to match the abilities and assessment criteria that have been applied by the company so far. KSP. Makmur Mandiri during the evaluation of employees, especially in the field ofthe marketing division, still experienced shortcomings and weaknesses in evaluating quality employees. The employee performance evaluation appraisal system has experienced problems inprocessing employee performance evaluation assessment data which is less accurate because it is stilldone on a paper-based basis and requires inefficient time and large costs. For this reason, a decisionsupport system is needed to assist KSP. Makmur Mandiri to evaluate employee performance everyyear. The method used in evaluating employee performance is TOPSIS (Technique for OthersReference by Similarity to Ideal Solution), which is often also known as the weighting method. TheTOPSIS method is one of the methods used to find the weight value based on the existing assessmentcriteria and helps facilitate the ranking of alternatives based on the distance between the positiveideal solution and the negative ideal solution. There are 5 (five) criteria as a measuring tool forevaluating employee performance evaluation, namely competition, professionalism, communication,management and friendliness accompanied by the results of the implementation of the TOPSISmethod in the form of ranking of the alternatives used. This decision support system is built using thePHP programming language and MySQL database.
